After Haven lost her family, she has had strange things happening to her. Now, she hopes to have a new start while she starts collage in a small school just outside of Salem. Then, her roommate warns her against the Sons of Salem, Ezra Bishop, Cameron Goode, Lyall Corey, and Reyes Scott. They are descendents of accused witches from the Salem Witch trials. There are rumors of them actually being witches and doing magic. Haven doesn’t believe a word until she is faced with a monster and is informed that she also has magic and is a witch. Will she embrace her legacy and save the Coven?
This is the first book in a Sons of Salem series. Haven has gone through a lot and even thought that she was going crazy. Learning that her father used to go to her school in some ways helps her with her grief. The guys in this series want to move forward but also want her to have a choice that they feel they never had. Ipswich College is a perfect dark academia setting with Gothic touches, but still had current technology mixed in. It is a fast-paced story, though it does end on a cliffhanger. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
