It is 1978 and Shay is preparing to get married. Her mother tells her that she left her a present in her room, a family heirloom mirror. On the eve of her wedding, she and her grandmother lock eyes in the mirror. Suddenly Shay opens her eyes in a slightly different room facing the same mirror, only her face is different. And it is now 1900. She quickly learns that she is in her grandmother’s body. She just needs to figure out how to get back to her body. Will she be able to switch back, or is this her life now?

This is one of those stories that isn’t at all what you expect. Shay uses her memories to try and get back to her life. She is so much stronger than even she believes. Getting to see Brandy and Shay’s parents in the future trying to figure out what happened. The story takes you through a history of Boulder, Colorado. The way the writer mixes time travel and body switching makes this so much more than what you think. This is not the first time I have read this story. It is a story that sticks with you. I loved reading this story and will always recommend it.
