Morbid Realities Duology Book 1

Atta may be older than the rest of her fellows, as she had to take a break in her studies. She is also the daughter of a mortician wanting to study Botany. But with a mix up she must become a teaching assistant to a teacher that most try to avoid, Professor Murdoch. The two are both working to cure the plague that is striking Ireland. The two are being drawn together both in their pursuits and physically. Yet there is something that seems to be darker at play both within the school and a secret society that is working toward the same cure. Will they be able to keep their own secrets and work together?

This is the first book in the Morbid Realities Duology. Atta is a brilliant character, the way her mind works is amazing. Her interactions and dialog alone kept me turning the page. Professor Murdoch is dark and mysterious but in that “fuckable academic way”, that everyone would like a piece of. The story is a glorious mix of Irish folklore and a contemporary setting. The whole Mythos in the story shows the darker side of the Fae that we seldom see, and was removed from many of our stories. I loved reading this book and can't wait to see where this Duology will go.

Product description and Images are from amazon.com:

“She is the daughter of morticians, studying Botany at Trinity College, Dublin. He is her Morbid Anatomy professor. And the Fae are possessing the good people of Dublin. Only Atta and Professor Murdoch can exorcize the fae, but can they fight their forbidden feelings for one another in the process?

It is said they are but lore.

It is said they are but demons.

It is said this is but a plague.

Wayward spirits.

Ghosts.

Spectres.

Ghouls.

The truth beckons

Tick flick tick

The clock keeps time with the candle

Until they all get sick

Wax slides down the gilded stick

And the Fae invade with bramble”
