Tessa doesn’t trust anyone and is finally gaining control over her magic. Theon keeps trying to move forward with his plans, but time isn’t on his side. Axel is on the verge of something with Kat and struggling with his blood addiction. Luka struggles with his need to protect Theon and the growing connection with Tessa. But as they all move forwards they are finding things that they had no way to plan for. How will they work together when secrets are kept?

This is the second book in the Legacy series. Getting to see how Tessa takes her situation and learning how to survive kept me seeing what she would do next. Luka is my favorite side character, and I loved when I got to read from his perspective. The intrigue taking place between everyone is brilliantly written. Getting to travel a bit more through the world make is feel bigger, and it was nice to see how different people were. The story kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to read the next book, Tempest of Wrath and Vengeance.
