The Nexus Book 1

Gwen has been told the only way to save her mates from the monster within is to reject them. Her parents have then taken her on the run. But when her mates finally get her back, they either hate or want her. Now she has to figure a way out so they won't get hurt.

This is the first book in the Nexus series. Given feels like she needs to keep everyone at a distance. Her own trauma is its own scare. The guys are brilliantly written, each with their scares and darkness. Rhodes standing up to his brother are some of my favorite moments. Onyx is possessive and yet admits when he has crossed a line. Hollis treats her exactly as she expects and I want to kick him sometimes. Alek can be an ass, but yet there is something about him. Finn is dark, and I loved that of all the guys we got to see his perspective. The world is close to our own, so it helps to suck you right into the story. I loved hearing Gwen's inner thoughts. The book was one 1-couldn't put down once I started it. I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next book, Celestial Alpha.
