Amu is an elementary student that everyone thinks is cool and spicy. But in truth she's no clue what she wants. She ends up giving birth to three eggs. Within are different parts of herself. She is soon brought into the student council to help protect other kid’s eggs from becoming X-eggs. Will she be able to step up?

This is the 20ᵗʰ anniversary of this manga. Amu is a girl who becomes a magical girl with a full transformation. Her guardian characters are sweet, and there are a few mini shorts within this book. It is geared for a younger audience, but I loved reading this series. It is also very special to me as it is one of the first manga's I shared with my daughter. I love this book and look forward to read more from the anniversary printing.

Shugo Chara! Jewel Jocker Volume 1

Amu is off to middle school and is suddenly asked to go on a secret mission to at the Arcana Academy. She isn't going alone the King, Tadase Hotori is also coming with her. But things are very different at this school. Will she be able to finish her mission so she can go back to her friends?

This is a new manga that takes place when the original Shugo Chara! ended. Amu may be older, but she is still learning about who she wants to be. This is a magical girl manga. Tadase is still wanting to rule everything but is also learning right along side of Amu. It’s a great story and it has some twists within that I didn’t see coming. I can't wait to where it will go from here in the next edition, Shugo Chara! Jewel Joker Vol. 2.
