Claiming Elfhame Book 1
Kelera has growen up amoung her father's people, humans, after her Fae mother left her at his doorstep. She has to pretend to not have any magic, and deny her half-fae heritage. Only a few people around her treat her kindly, while others can be downright cruel. Humans fear the Fae and now people are going missing. When Kelera's best friend Cierine, who is the king's niece, is taken. Kelera will stop at nothing to go and save her. But thing go wrong from the start of the rescue. Now she is in the Unseele court. How will she be able to save her friend, the other women, and herself?
This is the first book in the Claiming Elfhame trilogy. Kelera has worn a mask most of her life, but she is no damsel in distress. She is strong even behind her fear. Samael is cruel and dark as pitch, perfect for the Unseelie Court. Adrastus is complicated and yet he ems fair. The world is full of amazing creatures led with color. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next book in this trilogy, Heir of Embers and Ash.

“A friend stolen in the night.
A treacherous journey into the Unseelie Court.
And a prince who holds the fate of her people and her heart in his hands.
The world will succumb to frost and be reborn in fire. That is what the witch promised...
Since then, Kelera has spent her life denying the Fae blood that runs in her veins, shutting away the magic that calls to her.
But when trouble strikes the heart of the kingdom, she finds she must do whatever it takes to help. For the chance to save herself, her people, and to prove her loyalty to the mortal realm, Kelera must venture into the heart of Elfhame and navigate her way through the malevolent Unseelie Court at the risk of her own life.
When she is captured by the most malicious of the Unseelie Princes, Kelera’s only choice is to do what she must to survive. Even if it means embracing the magic she has been holding at bay.
Immersed in the dangers of Elfhame and faced with the brothers who each vie for the Unseelie crown, Kelera must navigate not only the treacherous court, but also the traitorous feelings blooming in her heart, and decide if taking back her power is worth the risk.
Step into a world of danger, intrigue, magic, and mayhem as Kelera journeys to save those she holds most dear.
Heir of Shadows and Ice is book one in Claiming Elfhame, a complete three-book enemies-to-lovers fae fantasy romance series. This series includes a slow-burn steamy romance with mild spice, a curvy imperfect female main character, a morally gray Unseelie prince, and a tangle of royal politics and intrigue.”
