Amie is turning 18 and doesn't have a wolf. Those around her tell her it will be fine. But when she turns 18 and see's her friend James, the alpha heir. he rejects her. Not wanting to put her family in a hard place, she leaves. Years later they meet again, and Amie is a changed wolf.
This book is a standalone. I first came across it on a bookish application a few years ago, but it wasn't completed. It now is and on Kindle Unlimited. Amie may have started a bit broken, but she knows her worth. She also has a redhead's temper. Finlay is a cinnamon roll that loves his people. The story is fast paced and fun to read. I enjoyed reading this book and will keep a lookout for other books written by Lina Ljunggren.

Product description and Images are from amazon.com:
“Amie doesn’t have a wolf. It makes her broken and weak to some.
They don't know her.
On her eighteenth birthday, her worst fear comes true—James, the Alpha’s son and her fated mate, rejects her in front of the entire pack. Shattered, Amie runs, carving out a new life among humans where no one knows what she is… or what she’s missing.
Years later, Alpha Finlay finds her. He knows she isn’t his mate, but something about her calls to him. Against her will, Amie is drawn back into pack life—where, at last, her wolf awakens.
For the first time, Amie feels like she belongs. She has friends, family… and a dangerous pull toward the Alpha she shouldn’t want. But with the Games approaching—the brutal contest that decides every pack’s rank for the next decade—old enemies return, and dark threats rise.
Now Amie must face the pack that rejected her and the mate who broke her heart. And when destiny collides with desire, she’ll discover that strength isn’t just about the wolf within—it’s about choosing who you truly are.
Perfect for fans of fierce heroines, fated mates, and slow-burn romance, Game of destiny is a story of second chances, pack loyalty, and love that defies fate.”
