Saeris has been changed from human to a half fae and half vampire. She also is now Queen of the Vampires. While coming into her new form of life, their enemies still are after them. She and Kingfisher work with their allies to have their plans forward. But now there is a new threat, a black rot that is spreading. Will they be able to stop it to save their world and all the others?

This is the second book in the Fae and Alchemy series. Saeris is brilliant in how she is taking her new life. Her relationship with Kingfisher is hot, and watching them fall more in love with one another is perfect. The magic system in this book is well thought out. There is so much going on in this book book that I couldn't put it down. The transition from Saeris' perspective to Kingfisher's is flawless. I loved reading this book and can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
